The annual convention of St. Berchmans' and Assumption Colleges Alumni Association of North America (SBAAC-AANA) was held at Moghul Palace Restaurant in Queens, New York on May 25, 1997 to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee of SB College. Former principal of SB College Rev. Fr. George Madthilparambil was chief guest at the occasion. Fr. Madathilparambil was especially glad to see the spirit and enthusiasm of former SB and Assumption College students who turned out with their families to participate in the convention

Even if more institutions are their now, the Newman College has a leading role in bringing hope and guidance to thousands of students in the region. We are lucky enough to have proper education and guidance. Many of us cherish memories from our days at Newman College and value friendships we made in the past. In this fast and modern world it is easy to lost contacts and out of touch, especially when some of us living abroad. We would like to create or establish a virtual community for Newman alumni's. College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Mannuthy came into existence in 1955 as Government Veterinary College; later renamed as Kerala Veterinary College and Research Institute. The college was inaugurated by the then Chief Minister Sri E M S Namboothiripad. Initially, the college was affiliated to Kerala University and subsequently to Calicut University in 1966. When the Kerala Agricultural University was formed in February 1972, the college was transferred to it and was renamed as College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences. The college is located on the side of the National Highway (NH 47) at Mannuthy, about 5 km from the Thrissur town.
