Durga;sodyssey in the ocean of music was flagged off from Sri Jayadurga Temple, Varapuzha, way back in the year 1997, where she performed her first ever classical music concert (Arrangettamm). Open Eyed Dreams, a premier art promotion venture, was launched by Dilip Narayanan in 2002. The initiative that began with a collection from eight artists has today a growing portfolio claiming exclusive representation from over 40 eminent artists in the country. It has held six major shows and a National Art Meet in Kerala. More exhibitions, tours and camps are scheduled running up to 2009. The objective: Promote art and artists, going beyond regional borders.

Daksha has always been something of a rebel in the Indian dance world, a brilliant and highly respected young Kathak dancer who "went astray" and ventured into uncharted terrain. The deviations and surprise turns in her dance career have confused many, including her admirers, and confounded those who like to pigeon-hole artists with convenient labels. With her immense talent, a total belief in herself and the courage to follow her intuition, (or just ornery pig headedness?), Daksha has always followed her own path.
