Stained glass is an extraordinary and vibrant medium for creating significant art, which can enrich personal and family living space as well as work and public places. We aim to create a subtlety and feeling of depth that is uncommon in this artform. This is why most people remark that they have never seen stained glass work like it. Each piece is made for a specific location and takes account of the sensibilities of the owner. As the hours and seasons progress, the light changes and the stained glass window responds - there is always something new to find in it.

Changampuzha Samskarika Kendram, a cultural centre, as indicated by its very name, is situated in Changampuzha Park, Edappally, in idyllic surroundings. The Park is about 5 kms from Ernakulam Town enroute to Alwaye. Achieving an amazingly fast growth in a comparatively short span of time, the Kendram has now more than one thousand members in its fold. The Kendram started functioning in the year 1997 with the avowed and ambitious objectives of promoting the multi-faceted culture of our country in general and Malayalam literature in particular. It aims at fostering all diverse forms of art, more particularly Kerala’s proud heritage in music and dance and reawakening the fast fading interest in all these arts among the people of our state, our nation and in the world as a whole

Before we go on to the visuals it will be interesting to take a quick look at the pre-history of Kerala, which is lost in mists of myths and legends. However fanciful these are, they help to establish the Geographic and Political identity of this strip of land lying along the South West coast of the Indian Peninsula, which was known as Kerala even in pre-history.The great Indian Epic,Mahabharata, which has been dated between 1500 BC and 1000 BC has many references to Kerala; so has the Ramayana, the other Indian epic.
