Kerala State Pharmacy Council,A Statutory Body Constituted By The Govt. Of KeralaThe Pharmacy Act, 1948 was enforced in the State of Kerala on 1st June 1960. The State Government as per Notification No.HL(A) 5-80033/59/EHD dated 31st May 1960 has issued orders appointing 1st June 1960 as the date on which Chapters III, IV, and V of the said Act shall take effect in the whole of the State except the territories referred to as Malabar District in section 5 (2) of the State Reorganisation Act, where the said Chapters are already in force. Section 30 (1) of the Pharmacy Act, 1948 empowers the State Government to constitute a Pharmacy Registration Tribunal consisting of three persons and to appoint a Registrar who shall act as the Secretary of the Registration Tribunal. As such the State Government, as per notification No.MS.633/60/HLD dated 15th June 1960 has constituted a Registration Tribunal consisting of the following persons for the purpose of preparing the first Register of Pharmacists under the Act.

The main objectives of the Association are: • to organize and unite the Inspectors of Central Excise and Customs (hereinafter toe be referred as Inspectors) borne on the establishment of Central Excise & Customs Commissionerates of Trivandrum, Cochin, Calicut and Customs Preventive Commissionerate, Cochin and to develop among them the spirit of solidarity, brotherhood and co-operation.• to safeguard and promote the rights, interests and privileges of the members of the Association. • to redress the grievances of the members, including harassment and victimization and to adopt legal measures to secure fair service conditions, including providing of financial assistance for litigation, subject to the approval of the State Governing Council. • to promote general welfare of the members and to endeavor for their social, economic and intellectual progress and to devise ways and means to enlighten and guide them in law and procedure. • to ensure the correct implementation of Government policies affecting the cadre in general and the members in particular. • to suggest to the administration proposals to improve the functioning of the Commissionerates in particular and the Department and Government in general. • any other aim or object that might be considered expedient by the State General Council which are not repugnant to the aims and objects set forth in clauses (a) to (f). The association purports to raise, maintain and utilize the funds for the fulfillment and realization of the aims and objectives enumerated above and will raise donations for specific purposes pertaining to the welfare of its members.
